LanGao, short of land resources, with inconvenient transportation is a state-level poverty-stricken area, whose economy is comparatively speaking lagged behind.
But the folks in LanGao are very pure, diligent, and hospitable to receive friends, friendly towards neighbors and obliging to help others. In eight years, many LanGao people realized their dreams in Golden Shine by becoming senior managers, area vice managers, hairdressers and professional beauticians and so on. They exhibit their talents in different posts in Golden Shine.
To bless their descendants, LanGao People in Golden Shine have been helping those school dropped out kids because of poverty by "forming pairs". They are established in their career and possess enjoyable life, yet they are not complacent because they think more of returning their hometown and a barren land. When Chen Zongyong, the vice General Manager of Golden Shine got this news, he immediately decided to donate money to establish a "Hope Primary School", because the manager knew we could not make our children suffer again and could not hold up their future. To get rid of poverty, the only way is through education, to learn knowledge so that we can change the backward outlook of the mountainous area.
On April 26, five staff from Golden Shine, set out westward to the remote mountainous area with their heart of love. After two days of expedition day and night they arrived at their destiny successfully. On the morning of 28th, the folks, teachers, students from the Huali Town organized themselves. They beat gongs, played the drums, and danced Yangge along a 500-meter-long street to welcome "the Golden Shine's" form afar in their own way. In the donation ceremony afterwards, Golden Shine donated the first batch of initiating fund, stationeries and clothes. In Golden Shine Primary School they set up "Golden Shine Grant" and cashed it and received 20 very poor students as the subjects of "One-to-One help".
The children laughed because they are going to have the best local school. It meant that they no longer had to get up at three or four o'clock in the morning and walk for two hours to go to school because they had dormitories now.
The teachers burst into tears because for so many years they taught in very dangerous shabby classrooms and with so many rainy and stormy days they faced empty classrooms with no one to come to school. There used to be so many children left the class because they were to poor to afford. The joyful tears showed that all those days were gone and would never return.
The major leaders of the LanGao county, county government, county culture and education bureau, the broadcasting bureau and the party committee all took part in the donation ceremony. Li Jun, the magistrate made a speech full of emotion. He said, "LanGao was poor and shut up in history. But the mountains were never poor, and waters never bad, instead, the mountains are beautiful and the waters clear. With the protection of the spirit and care from all parties, Golden Shine's donation was very great and the first act of goodness in LanGao's history. LanGao people will never forget and LanGao County will record it in her history because the donation to establish a hope primary school here might change the fate of a generation in Huali Town LanGao county.
